FAQ

Student: One (1) vehicle may be registered to the permit, and the same vehicle may not be assigned to more than one permit at a time.

Faculty/Staff (non-Student): Two (2) vehicles registered to the same owner may be registered to the permit; one primary and one secondary vehicle. This allows only one vehicle to be parked on campus at any given time, and the same vehicle may not be assigned to more than one permit at a time.

Note: Sharing of the permit is not allowed and each student and employee must have their own permit purchased on their account.

Troubleshooting Tips:

• LOGIN: Be sure to login with your UT ID Email and Password and click the Purchase Permit icon link.
• PLATE NUMBER: Be sure to enter your license plate number correctly and without spaces so it will scan correctly to show your vehicle permit.
• TEMP TAGS: Have a new vehicle and waiting for plates* to arrive? Enter the temporary vehicle license tag number to purchase, and log back in when plates arrive to update your plate number.
• PAYMENTS: When submitting payment, double check the billing address and change if needed; the form auto-populates your address on file with the University, which may not match the billing address for the card or bank account.
• PURCHASE COMPLETION: If you are experiencing trouble with completing the purchase and the billing address is correct, try a different browser; feedback is Edge and Safari may cause issues but Chrome consistently works.

A permit serves as a permission to park and is not a guarantee of a parking space.

A permit is for the exclusive use only to the person it was issued to and may not be sold or transferred to anyone else.

It is the responsibility of each UT student and employee to read, understand, and abide by any published regulations by Parking Services as well as keep parking permit vehicle registration up-to-date.
