Parking Permits

All student, faculty, staff, and tenant vehicles parked on campus must bear a valid Utah Tech University parking permit.

Fall 2025 – Summer 2026 (8/18/2025 – 8/14/2026)

UT Parking Permits are Virtual! Which means your permit is your license plate number and will be issued in real time. That’s right! No hang tags to pick up or receive via mail. When we scan your license plate, your purchased permit type will display. Choose your permit type below and click the link to purchase in your UT Parking Portal account.

Did you arrive on campus after July 1 when permits transitioned to 2025-2026 and missed buying a Summer Semester permit? All early purchases of the new academic year permits, annual and fall semester, will be honored for the rest of summer.

    FAQ

Student: One (1) vehicle may be registered to the permit, and the same vehicle may not be assigned to more than one permit at a time. To request a secondary vehicle on the permit (e.g. primary vehicle in the shop, etc.) please contact our office for approval at ParkingOffice@utahtech.edu with rationale and vehicle information.

Faculty/Staff (non-Student): Two (2) vehicles registered to the same owner may be registered to the permit; one primary and one secondary vehicle. This allows only one vehicle to be parked on campus at any given time, and the same vehicle may not be assigned to more than one permit at a time.

Note: Sharing of the permit is not allowed and each student and employee must have their own permit purchased on their account.

    Parking Permit Disclaimer

UT is not responsible for loss of or damage to the vehicle or its contents.

A permit serves as a permission to park and is not a guarantee of a parking space.

A permit is for the exclusive use only to the person it was issued to and may not be shared with, sold or transferred to anyone else.

It is the responsibility of each UT student and employee to read, understand, and abide by any published regulations by Parking Services as well as keep parking permit vehicle registration up-to-date.

    Routing Around Campus

The Parking Map is a great resource for parking by permit type, as well as getting around campus. Keep in mind, however, the map serves only as a guide as campus is rapidly growing. Be on the lookout for any signage or stall changes in the areas you park.
