Parking Permits

Fall 2022 – Summer 2023 (8/22/2022 – 8/18/2023)

Summer Semester (5/15/2023 – 8/18/2023) Permits will be available for purchase in the UT Parking Portal on May 5, 2023 (if you have an Annual 2022-2023 Permit, you do not need to purchase this permit, your Annual Permit is valid until 8/18/2023).

Fall 2023 – Summer 2024 Permits will be available for purchase in the UT Parking Portal on July 1, 2023.

Update! The UT Parking Portal is live and permits are now Virtual! Which means your permit will be your license plate number and will be issued in real time. That’s right! No hang tags to pick up or receive via mail. When we scan your license plate, your purchased permit type will display. Choose your permit type below and click the link to purchase in the Portal.

9/14 Update: the payment site is back up. If you attempted to purchase a permit between 9/7 – 9/13 and received a parking citation during this period, please email parkingoffice@utahtech.edu or call 435-879-4335 for further information and assistance.

Helpful Hints:

  • Be sure to login with your D# Email and Password and click the Purchase Permit icon link. The left hand boxed menu is to manage your account and the permit portion listed there is only to see what you have active.
  • Be sure to enter your license plate number without spaces and correct letters and numbers so it will scan correctly to show your vehicle permit.
  • Have a new vehicle and waiting for plates* to arrive? Enter the temporary vehicle license tag number to purchase, and log back in when plates arrive to update your plate number.

What you Need for a Permit

  • Vehicle license plate* (or temporary tag for new vehicles) number, make, model, and color
  • Digital ID number (students/faculty/staff)

Q&A

New vehicles – input the temporary license tag number, and login to the UT Parking Portal to update your account with license plate number when plates arrive.

Two (2) license plate numbers registered to the same owner may be linked to one permit; one primary and one secondary vehicle. This allows only one vehicle to be parked on campus at any given time, and the same vehicle may not be assigned to more than one permit at a time. Sharing of the permit is not allowed and each student and employee must have their own permit purchased on their account.

Parking Permit Disclaimer

UT is not responsible for loss of or damage to the vehicle or its contents.

A permit serves as a permission to park and is not a guarantee of a parking space.

Permits are for the exclusive use only to the person it was issued to and may not be sold or transferred to anyone else.

It is the responsibility of each UT student and employee to read, understand, and abide by any published regulations by Parking Services as well as keep parking permit vehicle registration up-to-date.
